The Highgrove collection.
This page is dedicated to three members no longer with us.
What is published here is a small extract of possibly 2000 to 3000 slides and negative's from the collection of two former members of Reading Transport Group. When the first person passed away, his collection passed by arrangement to a second
friend. When he passed away about 2014, both sets of images moved to a third 'custodian' as he called himself. So when the custodian passed away in late 2019, it was a responsible step to commit the collection to an electronic storage facility. In this way we can be sure the collection lives on and can be displayed on a web site. The name 'Highgrove' is relevant as the two original contributors resided in Highgrove Street, Reading, within sight of the Whitley Street pump.
